this morning we got up super early and back to the rome airport, returned our car, got through security and waited.
and waited.
and waited.
finally we were told that our plane had been detained in dublin due to a medical emergency on board.
so we went back out through customs, made friends with some of our fellow delayed passengers and managed to find the bus that took us to the hotel the airline had provided.
the only thing italians are efficient at is creating mass confusion. ;)
anyway, we got to the hotel and were served dinner, swam in the pool, watched a movie and went to bed hoping to be closer to home tomorrow.
this is my "i want to be out of rome" face.
