today we went to venice!

i've been dreaming of this since i was a little kid!

it's really happening!

venice has such a unique, old, mysterious, romantic feel about it.

it is everything i wanted it to be. :)

we wandered around mostly, saw the rialto bridge and st mark's square.

we found a gondolier to take us for a ride.

he was an older gentleman who has been a gondolier for 37 years.

he had a beautiful voice and sang to us almost the whole time we were gliding through the narrow, hushed canals.

magical!

then we treated ourselves to a REAL meal at a restaurant in the heart of venice that played... country music.

yep.

i'm enjoying my tortellini while listening to people speaking italian and kenny chesney singing???

it's just so weird i love it!!!
