today i headed off to denver to meet up with my friend christina to shoot a wedding.

i set out with a box of cheez-its, a bag of oreos and some skittles.

unfortunately the cheez-its met an untimely end on the car floor and i did not get to enjoy all of them.

then my trip was unexpectedly rerouted to colorado springs.

trying to find my way from I-70 back to 24 i found myself on a dirt road in the absolute-middle-of-nowhere surrounded by lighting, rain and hail.

the storm rising of the rugged green hills was sooooo beautiful!

so i made it to the springs, went up to the summit to visit my friend suzanne, then just chilled for awhile.

i decided not to go on to denver so i checked into a hotel.

i have never stayed in a hotel all by myself before.

it was kind of lonely.

road trips are much better with companions.
